Domain
Before you can begin, you need a name for your website. When choosing your domain name, the best piece of advice we can give is keep it simple and relevant. You want a name that is simple enough for people to remember, but yet relevant to your business or organization.
If you don't already have a domain name, we'll secure one for you at no additional cost for the first year. There is a small yearly renewal fee of $25.00 after the first year, if you secure your domain name through Mellon & Co.
Web Hosting
You also need website hosting, which is space on the Internet to host your website. All Illustrate Your Story sites come with Mellon & Co.'s Basic Hosting Package. The first year of hosting is included. Subsequent years are billed at a rate of $125.00 yearly ($12.50 per month).
Included in the basic hosting package:
- 250 megabytes of space
- 2 gigabytes of transfer
- Unlimited POP3 Email Accounts
- Unlimited Mailing Lists
- Access to Cpanel features, including statistics package (i.e. traffic reports)
